Application Features:

• Bankmed Medical Scheme: Users can view their plan benefits and savings details, provided that their plan includes savings. The app allows for the retrieval of recent healthcare claim information with 12 months of claims history, viewing of approved chronic conditions, and tracking of benefit usage. Additionally, users can search for healthcare professionals and access their Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Active Rewards for Balance Members: This feature incentivizes Balance members to engage in physical activity by rewarding them for reaching weekly exercise goals. Participants can earn fitness points and receive opportunities to play on a gameboard to uncover Miles, which serve as a rewards currency redeemable for various exciting options in the rewards mall.

• The application is exclusively available to members of the Bankmed Medical Scheme. Registration on the Bankmed website (www.bankmed.co.za) is mandatory before logging into the app. User credentials for the app mirror those used on the website.
• To access personalized Active Rewards exercise goals, Balance members must first activate the Active Rewards benefit within the app.
• For those not registered on the Bankmed website, registration can be completed at this link.
• Information regarding Balance benefits can be obtained by logging into the Bankmed website or visiting the Balance site at this link.

The app integrates with Apple’s Health App, contingent upon user permission, allowing users to earn Miles for workouts tracked via the Health App.
